Mama Restaurant Luxembourg

We recently held a team dinner here, and the experience was as vibrant as the decor. The Starters We kicked things off with a beautiful Smoked Salmon and Blinis platter. The presentation was lovely—bright, fresh salmon paired with fluffy mini blinis and a rich, herby cream. It was light, easy to share, and the perfect palate cleanser before the heavier courses. We also enjoyed a Roasted Squash Salad topped with fresh greens, seeds, and a zesty dressing. The squash was perfectly caramelized, providing a nice earthy sweetness to the table. The Mains The centerpiece of our meal was a massive cast-iron dish of Slow-Braised Beef with Glazed Carrots and Pearl Onions. The meat was "fall-apart" tender, swimming in a deep, savory reduction that begged to be soaked up with their crusty bread. To accompany the beef, we were served a pot of Mousseline Mashed Potatoes topped with fresh chives. It was incredibly smooth, buttery, and exactly the kind of side dish you want on a cold Luxembourg evening. The Grand Finale Even though we were full, the dessert was impossible to resist. We shared a stunning, oversized Chocolate and Salted Caramel Mille-feuille (or "Mama’s Giant Éclair"). It featured layers of crisp dark chocolate, piped vanilla cream, and rich caramel peaks. It was a showstopper and the perfect way to end a communal meal. The Verdict Mama Shelter excels at communal dining. Serving main courses in large "LAVA" cast-iron pans right at the table creates a warm, family-style atmosphere that is great for team bonding. The service was friendly, and the pacing of the meal was just right.

We were staying at Mama Shelter and thought we'd pop down stairs for a quiet meal on Saturday evening. Much to our surprise, the restaurant was almost full. It was a hive of activity but the hostess very kindly managed to slot us in and I'm glad she did. The food was excellent, I ordered the beef wellington and I don't think it could have been any tastier. Great tunes too. Definitely book to Guarantee a table.

Great decor, colorful, with a vintage mix. There’s a good selection of mostly comfort food, all well made and fresh. The pizza was delicious and the artichoke dish as well, though it’s better suited for sharing, not as a main dish. Our waiter Jose was polite and friendly. Reservation is highly recommended as it’s busy.

Mama's makes you feel right at home. You can feel the love, attention to detail, and relaxed atmosphere all around. Celebrated two beautiful events here and stayed at the hotel overnight. Very clean, accommodating, and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was pleasant at the quaint in-house bakery, serving up fresh pastries, breads, and sandwiches. I thought the decoration of the place was beautiful. I fell in love with the decoration. The receptionist was not very friendly, but the waiter was friendly. The food was good. My hot chocolate was delicious.

This place is a real vibe! The decor is stunning and the roof is roofing! The food was incredible along with the cocktails. The staff a fun and welcoming and I couldn’t recommend Mamas high enough!

We were very glad that the restart was opened on a state holiday. I was pleasantly surprised by the style of the restaurant. very beautiful, for parents with children just an incredible place. Everything is very delicious. fast food delivery. the staff is very nice.

Didn't realise this was a hotel restaurant until after we arrived but was very pleasantly surprised. The decor is extremely cool. The food was excellent. Service was good. Would recommend
